this is so sweet! Every month or so our building complex puts out a little newsletter with tenant profiles and upcoming building events, and random safety reminders. The one bright spot of the entire thing is the Brain Teaser. The only reason for this is that if you answer correctly and are one of the first 4 people to fax it in to the management office, you could win $25 dollars! I sent mine in early this morning, but wasn't sure if it'd be quite early enough to make it. Out of the blue in the middle of the morning I get a call from Diana that I had indeed won the small cash prize. Such good news, who doesn't like free money?! So I just went to pick it up, no questions asked, and it happens to be more than enough money with which to purchase a ticket to a certain upcoming musical show that I would dearly love to attend. Ahhh, today is a good day.
Speaking of good days, could it get better? Yes it could! Today also happens to be the day that I found out that Holly finally had her baby! She went into the hospital on Monday night around midnight and was in labor for a LONG time. She delivered her little girl around 5:30, and she's cute as anything! (I got to see her at lunch today) So she's doing well, the baby is wonderful and in perfect health according to her doctor. I get a long lunch, hold a baby, win $25, and didn't have a really heavy work day today. Now if only my hubby were at home to spend the evening with, it would be perfect.
Here is the Brain Teaser, for all interested (aka Jodi and Jon Carlson):
You take your dog to the dog show where there are a total of 196 legs and 126 eyes. How many people and how many dogs are present? (All people and all dogs have the normal number of eyes and legs.)

35 dogs, 28 people
You're correct. And thank you so much for your kind words of congratulations as well, you're so sweet! =P
Sorry.
WOW!!! Congratulations!!! That is so awesome!!! You have to be the smartest Old Married Woman I know!!!
That means 7 dogs are running loose. Scary.
Jon Carlson, I wish I would have known you at ORU, we would have had even more fun than we do now. except the part where you hated my brother wing.
yeah Ben, it didn't really make much sense to me to have more than one dog at the dog show per person, if anything, you'd have more than one owner per dog, because they're pretty high maintenance, right?
It's true. I was a lot of fun at ORU.
I only hated a couple of guys on Armor. Then again, I hated the whole floor whenever they were all together (which was quite a lot).
If you were to be honest with yourself, you know that deep down inside you hated them too.
there were definitely some guys that made me wonder why I even tried making friends or whatever, but by far there were more guys that totally made it worth being on their sister wing. Not every brother wing would serenade you from the sidewalk during hall meeting, or sneak out with you after curfew when you came back on campus to goof off and pull a howard run...
mmmm, good times...I miss college!
