salsa extravaganza

yay for girlfriends who wisk you away to adventures at the last minute! On Friday I really wasn't looking forward to fun and excitement after the Rock service, but then Anna Leisa and Sarah invited me to go salsa dancing with them! We invited Christine too, but she didn't want to go for some crazy reason (next time, we'll just kidnap you and throw you in the trunk, how's that?) .

The last time I went salsa dancing was for Mrs. T's bachelorette party, and I think I was in the minority as someone who was having a good time. So we really didn't stick around all that long and headed off for other party opportunities that night. But it was enough to give me a taste of how much fun it was! So the chance to go again was definitely welcomed.

We went to the Loring Pasta Bar, only $6 to get in, not bad. And then we met up with some of Sarah's friends who invited friends too? I kind of got confused with all the people milling around our table, they all seemed to know at least one or two people which made it ok, I guess. I also got in touch with Carmen, who was a girl we ran into at the bachelorette party almost a year ago. We have tried getting together a couple times over the last few months, but it never happened, until tonight. So she showed up, and it turns out she knew one of Sarah's friends. It was weird how everyone seemed a little bit connected.

I spent most of the evening keeping Anna Leisa company, watching her get embarrassed for other people and gently declining offers to dance. We didn't stay very long, and possibly the best part of the night was at Perkins afterwards, when we could talk in normal volume and I could get to know these two girls better. They're pretty cool, I'd go out with them again anytime...

One thing I will never understand about women is their obsession with salsa dancing.

So, did you actually salsa dance, or...?

btw... fkbidkrm is probabably overkill for word verification.

Jon, I couldn't even see yours today to post on your blog, so I don't want to hear it.

I did actually dance one time with one guy, but it's hard to tell which ones will be polite and which ones you want to avoid like the plague

I was just merely stating that the word verification was quite long, not that I didn't think you should have it.
