i'm so smart!

this weekend i came across the perfect use for both my wonderful ability to remember all amounts of random trivia, and also the old testament survey class from 1st semester freshman year.

This weekend we participated in an Amazing Race that was put together by several friends of ours. The second stop was at Centennial Lakes where we had to pick either a physical or mental challenge. Our team (Seth, myself and Tami) chose the mental challenge, which we then found out was to alphabetize the first 20 books of the Bible without a pen or paper and recite them to the person waiting. WOW.

So I had a pretty good idea of what they were, and figured that if we could at least remember the 20 books we would have a good chance at alphabetizing them. We went thru them 3 or 4 times, each time I actually ended up forgetting one or two of them, but in the end they were all accounted for. I recited them for Angela and we did it! We were the only team that actually completed the challenge, everyone else that chose the mental challenge decided against it and had to take a 15 minute penalty before they could try the physical challenge, which I'm so glad we didn't have to do.

For a run down of the day in general, check out Jodi's post from today.

I'm really proud of you! I'm so impressed - I couldn't remember Ezra or Nehemiah. You are the true winners in my book!

I too am impressed. Maybe next time, I'll have to include the Minor Prophets in there to make it harder for you.

Don't forget to post your pictures!
