it's happened to me, why shouldn't it happen to others? That it happens by my own hand only makes it more amusing for me. Hearing snippets of coversation and turning them (usually out of context) into the most exciting stories is one of the joys of community in our small church family, I think.
That being said, I will relate to you a tidbit that I heard last night, pretty much word for word. There were some married women milling about after Axis last night, chatting about whatever. Mrs. Q was standing not too far from me, watching Jodi leave the sanctuary. She tried to say "Goodbye Jodi" but unfortunately was not heard. Maren then proceeded to mention "she's engaged", for which she received many interested looks from the others standing around.
We talked over this bit of information for a few minutes, and then proceeded to discuss going to Dairy Queen because the menfolk were all caught up in various conversations.
As part of the discussion, we came to the conclusion that Jodi's "You Won't Be Single For Long" Vodka Sauce must have lived up to its name...I guess KG was wrong to suggest that for Jodi drinking and cooking shouldn't go together....=P
Ok - someone time for me how long it takes to get Jodi's reaction to this post - I repeat, there is nothing untrue that has been relayed here...it just might be tailored to serve my purposes....=)

What is with everyone I know at the Rock getting into fake relationships?
who else has fake relationships?
Where can I get me some of that vodka sauce?
That was a joke.
I just wanted to know to whom I was engaged.
"Sometimes it's who."
Sigh. I still have the "gift". You'll be hearing from me. Or the mill.
j- why don't you tell me to whom you would like to be engaged, I could work it into the story...=)
Jodi - the engagement is over??? Mannnnnnnn.... that was going to be my first Rock wedding I would have been invited to.
Ann, I'll tell you, but you need to corner me in the bathroom first.
Jon Carlson - that's just not true. You wouldn't have been invited. Just Kidding! It's not true because you were at the Rhody's wedding. Trust me. I remember.
Other fake relationship: Joe and Emily, who you might not have ever met. See Christine's blog hyah: http://christineone.blogspot.com/2006/06/weekend-at-sugar-lake.html
The site of another embarrassing moment for you - good stuff.
However, that was just a reception - we watched the wedding on the projector.
Maren's Engaged?
Crap...
that's a dumb rumor. it'll never work.
Well, Ann, I didn't get engaged, but I did have a son:)
