ucky.

this week has not been spectacular. It has been busy, full of late nights and little sleep, I have yet to feel satisfaction for staying on top of housework, or watching the least amount of television in recent weeks. I've become increasingly frustrated at work yet again, with things that don't seem to be planned out in a manner that would ensure success, yet we forge ahead with those plans despite concerns that have been raised. I find my attitude cynical, my work ethic and motivation lacking, and yesterday was the culmination of all this. It didn't help that I was exceedingly tired and crabby.

The part that encouraged me is that instead of withdrawing and stewing in my crabbiness for too long, I was able to make conscious decisions meant to improve my situation. I listened to worship music, I prayed and ranted to God on my drive home. I refused to let my crabbiness get my down and read my One Year, made dinner and didn't allow myself to get overwhelmed. God is good, because all the plans that could possibly have been scheduled for yesterday were cancelled, so after bringing dinner to Josh and Holly and Lillie, I sat at home and did laundry and started reading my new library book, which I definitely like. I even got to watch a couple episodes of Arrested Development because Seth wasn't home (he doesn't like the show, for some reason!). But the alone time did wonders, and this morning I woke up and was able to remember the good parts of this week:

-I got to take dinner to the Grundis and the Ziebols
-We had our first Leader's Meeting and I'm really looking forward to small groups this year
-Seth has been Superhusband and coming home to him is by far the highlight of every day
-Seth is getting the route that he's been waiting for! He'll start after next week, very exciting!
-I now have confirmed admission to the Mae concert next week
-I'm so looking forward to the Rock tonight and seeing my family there

Looking at that list, life is not so bad. Now if I could only fit in a run, this would be a winner week!
