i've been waiting for house church to start and it finally did! It was definitely cozy, even with missing a few people, but just about everyone had a seat. Everything was nice and orderly with serving communion (J - goblets of grape juice set on a counter are a lot less scary than lots of little baby cups carried downstairs on loose carpet). Leave it to TJ to set up a mini sound system and a computer screen for lyrics; it sounded great, like just about everyone was singing, which just enhanced the intimacy level.
There was no teaching, but everyone got up to give brief introductions, and a time for praying at the end with people swapping groups to meet each other. I was pleased to hear lots of praying - strangers getting together to talk to God openly in front of each other! Sometimes it can be an intimidating experience, but it sure didn't seem like that last night.
Everyone was friendly, everyone seemed pretty happy to be there. I'm really excited to see where this goes and to do outreach projects and camping together and everything else!

I can't wait to camp out in the Cornishes' back yard. We will make s'mores, sing songs, and dress as giant racoons to frighten the men's group.
I don't mean to be prideful - or judgmental - but St.Paul house church really is the best.
That's a joke. Jesus loves all house churches equally.
Actually Anna Leisa, you're right. But don't tell anyone else okay?
nice! Proof that not only does Jesus like our house church best, but that he checks my blog as well!
Alas, the poor mens group to be frightened by the women dressed like racoons. I nknow that halloween is just around the bend, but do stores really sell racoon outfits?
P.S. Thank you Jesus for loving our House Church:)
He is risen indeed!
