out of town?

seriously? where do people go out of town on the last weekend in October?

Almost all the people on our evite list who are declining to attend our party this weekend are going to be out of town. Or having family in town, so maybe that's the answer, family....Erica has a decent excuse, it's her parents' 40th wedding anniversary - I'll give her that one. And I suppose Bryan too, since he'll have the fun of meeting lots of extended family and probably get asked a million times when they're going to start on 40 years of marriage themselves...

I'm not bitter or upset or anything about anyone who has prior plans or are going away for the weekend, very cool for them, I was just surprised to see that it was so many people, wondering if there was something about travel this time of year that I'm missing out on, maybe....

I hate to add to your list of out-of-towners, but I think I'll be in the Eau C. I really really want to be at your party, but since I can't, I wish you a happy birthday to beat all happy birthdays!

(I tried to comment something like this on your last post, but the system broke down, so it didn't work. But if it did work, I'm sorry for the redundancy.)

Next year, do it the weekend before. I always am out the last weekend in Oct. Plus, it'll hit your birthday instead of your silly husband!
