hallelujah!

Winter mornings are harder in general for me to get up and get going. This is mostly because when it's 5:30 in the morning it looks more like 11pm, when you should be snug in bed, not getting ready for work. There's also something generally unenjoyable about sitting down in your freezing cold car and having to wait for it to defrost enough for you to see to start driving. Thankfully, each winter there is a point when the sun rises start catching up to me, and I can see and end to this dreary dragging about in the dark.
Today was that day.
It was about 6:35am, I was tooling down the highway on my deliciously short ride to work, and happened to look over to the east when, wonder of wonders, there it was - the obvious beginnings of the sunrise. Blues turning into greens and then even closer to the horizon, just a hint of yellow creeping in. My heart leapt for joy, and I had no choice but to sing praises to my Creator! Yes, on this day life is good. Don't get me wrong, I know winter's not over, and I still want some more snow, but everything's just easier to get ready for and face when it's sunny outside.
