as of this weekend, i think i am at the middle of a conspiracy. a pregnancy conspiracy.
On Saturday night at the Rock, I was down in the nursery checking in with someone about plans that we're making later this summer. While there I got to hold Ella because she is so cute and I love her. While holding Ella, I talked to her mom, Emily, because she is cute and I love her. Emily has a fun habit of asking me quite often if I am pregnant. I always get to answer no, because I am not. A few minutes after our exchange, Emily told her husband Jason that I was pregnant. We all three decided this would be a good way to start a rumor since there were lots of people hanging around that could have heard. I laughed it off and went on my merry way that evening.
Last night we had small group at our house. Mark Darling came to speak to the small group and answer questions. It was pretty cool. Before he started Seth made announcements, one of them thanking the group for praying for "me, my wife, and our family" during some job stuff that's been going on lately (more on that in a later post). Mark thought that was SO important that he stopped everything right there and called attention to the fact that Seth included "our family" in his thanks, and how "our family" usually includes kids.
Maybe the idea is that if enough people say it, it's bound to be true. Well, for the record, no. No pregnancies, no babies on the way. Other exciting possibilities loom on the horizon, but not of the gestational nature. And that's ok for right now.

I hadn't heard about the babies. I did hear about Seth's misfortune with the Communist bread company... Does that mean your allowed to buy diet soda now?
Oh Kevin, I wouldn't buy diet soda...well, I would buy it if someone paid me and I didn't have to actually consume it.
But Seth's got a new job, so that's good...
Your pregnant.
I knew it. Why didnt you tell me!?!
